Halo 2 Trick Jumps
|| by Striker | Thursday, December 9, 2004 4:58pm | comments(1) | permalink ||

One of our fellow beta testers, Mr. Jukes, has been compiling videos illustrating various trick jumps that can be performed on the different Halo 2 maps.  I'm a huge fan of trick jumps -- I used to get really excited about them in Quake.  At one time, Ad and I were trying to put something like this together for Halo 1.  I bet if I searched for a bit, I could find some the footage us messing around on Hangem' High and Battle Creek; however, we never had the motivation to actually edit and publish our work.  Mr. Jukes, on the other hand, has.  His compilations are quite impressive -- I plan on hijacking a number of his moves for use in the Rumble Pit.  I need to practice them though, most of them arent nearly as easy as he makes them look!

5 Million Gamers Can't Be Wrong
|| by Sully | Thursday, December 2, 2004 1:07pm | comments(1) | permalink ||

According to this news item, 5 million+ copies of Halo 2 have already been sold worldwide.

Considering the game has only been on shelves for less than a month and it has already come close to matching the sales of the original, venerable, unstoppable sales force known as Halo: Combat Evolved, that number is astounding.

Apparently, lots of new sales are being generated by the holiday rush, and you know what that means: lots of fresh meat on Xbox Live over the holidays. :)
